Antenna Simulations
HFSS by Ansoft
Ansoft HFSS brings the power of the finite element method (FEM) to the
engineer's desktop by leveraging advanced techniques such as automatic
adaptive mesh generation and refinement, tangential vector finite elements,
and Adaptive Lanczos Pade Sweep (ALPS). HFSS automatically computes
multiple adaptive solutions until a user-defined convergence criterion is met.
Field solutions calculated from first principles accurately predict all
high-frequency behavior such as dispersion, mode conversion, and losses due
to materials and radiation.

XFDTD by Remcom
XFDTD is a full wave electromagnetic solver based on the Finite Difference
Time Domain method. It is fully three- dimensional. CAD objects may be
imported into XFDTD and combined and edited within XFDTD using the
internal graphical editor. Plane wave excitation or voltage and current sources
can be used to excite the structure. XFDTD has an extensive list of important
features, including lumped loads, impedance, S parameters, near/far zone
fields, antenna radiation and efficiency, SAR peak and averages, special
materials, graphical display capabilities, and many others. Optional modules
include multi-processor module, human body meshes, and 3D Solids and
Layered CAD Importers.

Numerical Electromagnetics Code (NEC)
NEC is a computer code for the analysis of the electromagnetic response of
antennas and other metal structures that uses method-of-moments techniques
for the numerical solution to integral equations for the currents induced on an
antenna structure by sources or incident fields. The approach has no
theoretical limit and may be used for very large arrays or for the very fine
subdivision of smaller arrays.
QuickNEC
TW is the creator of QuickNEC. It is a software tool that generates the
complex geometries used in NEC antenna simulations. This software works
along with most popular NEC simulation tools such as GNEC, Nec-Win Pro,
and Nec-Win Basic. QuickNEC is a windows based program (Win95/98,2000,
NT, XP) that includes a large number of different geometries with user
selectable dimensions. You can generate complex structures in seconds!
